One of Norwich, Connecticut's leading artists. Born in Haiti, Tonton's introduction to art began in high school learning to stretch canvas and paint nature inspired themes such as sunsets and flowers. Tonton attended the New England Institute in Boston, MA. Graduating in 2015, his shift from life drawings to immersive education in media and animation led to a sole focus on abstract and contemporary art with acrylic paint. 
Tonton’s journey as a full time artist began to flourish starting in 2017. In the artist's work, deep rich colors amalgamate with bold linear strokes, actively evoking the viewer to perceive the confidence, energy, and emotional expression with every stroke made. Creating over 500 pieces within the past 5 years, the imagery and message his art conveys allude to contemplation, reflection, and interpretation of interpretation of life and man's existence in society
